There are five programs:

本校分別為:

(1)   Elementary Mandarin, Kindergarten to Grade 8, Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00, no tuition fees, small workbook/activity fees apply;  (Registration Forms)

(一)小學部國語 ─ 由幼稚班到八年級,星期六上午9點30分上課至12點下課,免學費,只收成本費用。(報名表)

(2)   Culture Enrichment Program,  such as Chinese Martial Art (Kung Fu), Arts & Crafts, Folk Dance and Calligraphy etc., Saturday afternoons from 12:00 to 1:00pm, registration fees apply; (Culture Class Registration Forms)

(二)術科班 ─ 每週六下午12點上課至1點15分下課,計有國術、手工藝、民族舞蹈、書法等班級。(下午班報名表)

(3)   Parent & Child Program (Chinese Circle Time)

      This one hour program is jam packed with activities to expose preschoolers (age 2.5 to 3) to Mandarin Chinese.  Children accompanied by their parents will learn through instructor lead crafts, songs, music, games, and story time.  Perfect for spending quality time with your young child Saturday mornings. (三)親子班專門為父母及學齡前兒童(年齡2.5至3歲)設計的親子活動. 在家長的陪同下,兒從唱歌 、遊戲、美勞及韻律中學習中文。每週六上課一小時‧不須會講中文。

(4)   Adult Program – Designed for Non-Mandarin speaking Parents and adults who are interested to assisting their child’s homework and to learn more about Mandarin and Chinese Culture.  On site register begin on September 11, 2010 at 9:00am~11:30am (Adult Class Registration Forms

(四)成人班 ─ 每 六週上課,是配合不會國語的家長需求,除能協助小朋友功課外也能幫助自己對中華文化的認識。

(5)   Tai-Chi Program –Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise for health, consisting of slow and graceful movements that relax and strengthen both body and mind.  The program is for Saturday one hour exercise.

(五)太極班太極拳 是一種良好 的運動, 練習太極拳 的人 , 身體健康 , 精神飽滿 , 思想敏捷 為讓父母親送小朋友上課期間也能做運動,特別設立一小時的太極班。 (太極班報名表)

 

(6)   Mandarin Library including books, VHS video tapes and VCDs for children's stories, culture and science.  Open on Saturday mornings during school hours, no fees for OMS Students. 

家長會開設圖書館,每週六上午開放,藏書約300冊、100卷錄影帶及250張影音光碟等多類型卡通、文化及科學影片,供本校學生免費租借。

The Board of Directors of the Ottawa Mandarin School (also referred to as the Parent's Advisory Council (PAC)) is a non-profit charitable organization.  It is composed of up to thirteen members who are elected every other year from among volunteer parents of students.  Its main function is to work in partnership with the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board of Education to provide educational and cultural program activities for the learning of the Mandarin language and culture.  PAC board members can be elected from the Parent body at the Annual General Meeting.  The position of Board Director is a purely volunteer effort.  These Directors then elect form among themselves and Executive body consisting of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chair, a Treasurer and a Secretary.  The special activities include:  (1) a Chinese New Year Celebration, (2) a Speech/Reading Contest, (3) a Graduation Ceremony, (4) an appreciation luncheon for Teachers (5) Hot bun sale and fundrising, and many other community activities as well. 
We wish for all students to learn and understand more about the Mandarin language and Chinese culture. 

 

加京國語學校為一個非牟利團體,主要是配合渥太華-迦爾頓天主教教育局提供社區語言教育與文化活動,而家長會 組織是由所有學生家長中推舉出熱心義務之士,經投票選出十三位執行委員。這十三位執行委員再互相選出各個職位如:會長、副會長、秘書、財政、學藝、教科書、電腦資訊、康樂、公關、圖書館等。家長會是一分純粹義務的工作,熱心不斷的為本校學子爭取最佳學習環境及提供求學資源。每年更舉辦許多活動,如新春聯歡活動、演講比賽、謝師宴、午餐及募款等。

 

本校經過歷屆校長及家長會承先啟後,同心協力,以華人子女能接受優良中華文化教育為目標,以促進華人教育在加拿大茁壯而努力。
